"DON" Tournaments

Hi poker friends, today was a mixed day of playing the "Double or Nothing"(DON) tournaments on Pokerstars . I started out by playing a $1.20, 9er, and won, so I stepped up to a $5.50 DON and lost on bubble. Ok, so now I go to a 10.50 DON, and again lose on the bubble......hmmmn, I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I did it anyways. jup, you guessed it, I entered a $52.00 DON.......... and squeaked out a win. I admidt i got a little mad when I was in the $10.50 DON, and with 6 left a big stack was sitting out, in last position I pushed a2c and the button and sb folded, then the bigstack seems to mysteriously awake from sitting out to insta call me? I mean how do you call when your avatar info says your sitting out? The button and small blind folded instantly, so there was no time for the big stack to click "im back" and "call"? I don't know, but it seemed awful fishy to me.

I don't recommend playing this drastic of a increase in the tournaments you enter, getting comfortable first and move up in a planned and methodical way is the best ticket I think. Anyways that's my 2 cents for you today, Good luck all!

November is Here!
